Industry in the corridor spans across all segments and capabilities. A number of international and domestic OEMs are part of TANDICO. In addition PSUs and DPSUS in or outside Tamil nadu strengthen the corridor with their participation.

MSMEs form the backbone of the corridor and they cater for a wide array of international level capabilities. They have skills and capacities to manufacture parts components systems and subsystems for various weapon systems. The constant effort of all industry in TANDICO is to ensure indigenisation is achieved and the nation is self-reliant on defence. Encouraging the start-ups and MSME participation in the indigenous defence manufacturing is a key priority of the Defence Ministry and a revised and simplified “Make II” procedure has been announced by the Indian government in which some special provisions are given to MSMEs.
